BX3000T 300W Behringer Bass Head AmpBehringer BX3000T Bass Amp Head dish out loud 300W of raw power at 4-ohm, a bass head with balls of steel carrying 7-richter scale of earthquake rampage causing seismic geologists shaking their ass nodding to the groove in unison.

Price: US$230 Check latest price
See what offered by Behringer by examine the BX3000T features:
1. 2 inputs accepted: active/passive bass.
2. Footswitch for Shape (filter you can twist the knob to change settings for a different tone) and Ultrabass (an adjustable volume bass for an octave lower effect) is included.
3. A limiter, usable EQ, classic analog meter w/ backlight, tuner, high/low boost switch.
4. The cooling fan, balanced DI output (post-EQ) and the unbalanced (pre-EQ) output, Send/Tuner, Return, Line out and 2x1/4" speaker + speakon jack on the back.

How about the sound?
The Shape knob is versatile allowing tone changes radically just like a phase sweep does. The sound also tweakable via the Deep and Bright boost. I hooked up Cort Artisan 5 strings bass into BX3000T feeding 2x15” Hartke cabinet. What can I say? Fucking incredible big bottom fuller tone shook the room. With huge 300 watts of power, chances are you don’t need to turn volume knobs past 12 o’clock to kick audience’s ass, providing plenty of headroom to shake the room with defined and clearly tones.
Regardless of your playing style; finger pick, slap, tap, pop and bang on the Bass, the BX3000T reproduces deep, fat and rich bass you could dreaming of.
The amp does well for all varieties of rock and metal style, except the distortion. You need a distortion pedal if you’re incorporating overdriven bass sound in your style.

Let’s dig straightly into the weakness of this amp:
1. Slick potentiometers. They’re easy to move with a gentle touch. Be sure to space out yourself to this amp to prevent inadvertently pots sliding.
2. It doesn’t have a ground-lift switch so you have to ground it yourself in case ground loop noise occurred within your system.
3. Noticeable pop click noise when switching on the Dynamizer and Shape functions, either from the front panel switches or from the foot-pedal. Ignore this if you’re not a big fan of these features.
4. UltraBass (an octave down effect) feature is not for tracking/recording. It's useless for recording purpose since it doesn't track too well and cuts through the mix. If you want Octave effect, buy a dedicated octaver pedal. UltraBass might works fine in low volume and big cabinet with 15” quality driver or more, but who want to play in low volume anyway if you use 15” stack?
5. For those playing high tone (trebly bass) you might be disappointed with noticeable hiss. It occurred at high gain setting with treble knobs turned up. But for badass metal bassists who need straight low tunes of hurricane, this “storm factory” surely deliver very quietly.

Despite the “forgiving” weakness above, still BX3000T Bass Head deliver high value considering the price tagged as common Behringer tradition. This 30 lbs rumble-catapult is a no-mercy slaughter for Ampeg SVT, SWR, Ashdown and GallienKrueger in term of quality/price ratio. Unbelievably US$230 tag price. Editor Recommended.

I'm very interested in purchasing this amp. I play in a punk band and need somethin loud and hard bit wary of the treble hiss though. But for the money.... its only fuckin punk lod
