Poor Best

BugJet run under personal budget of the staff. Currently we only afford tiny space of web hosting. Therefore several inconvenience might occurring when you visit. Just to fulfill your curiosity, we disclosure some of BugJet back-end policy and several planning in the future to serve you better. Read on.

Bandwith issue
Some of you might wonder why it requires login to download MP3 song. This is one of several ways to limit bandwith. Huge traffic in file transfer will consume larger bandwith means we have to pay more to hosting company. By limiting user only to download, we restrict bandwith usage far lower than public download setting.

Space issue
Is one answer why we’re serving 2-minutes MP3. Unless band/label restricted, we will upload full-length legal metal MP3 song in the future when our site yields more income so we can setup larger server space. And we promise; only 192 kbps of MP3 bitrate with fully separated stereo channel will be served to convince near-CD quality for your maximum pleasure of listening experience.

Ads scattered over
Yes this is the only way BugJet yields income. We’re not selling merchandise or any hard goods. Please apologize for nuisance.

Unexciting shitty layout
We couldn’t afford hiring professional graphic designer. But hey, we persist to learn with Do-It-Yourself-spirit for everything. Our designer crew now pushes his brain hard to redesign website for enchanting mega-mondo graphical layout.

Pay-per-unique downloads
This is BugJet grand scenario in the future. When a MP3 song downloaded by a user, the script counter will calculate unique download and we will pay the band a reasonable amount of money per unique download for a period of time. Let say a song has been downloaded 1000 times during a year, assuming Rp500/unique download, we will pay Rp500,000 to the particular band. This is our commitment to support Indonesian metal indie-label bands. But again, it will be launched when BugJet yields sufficient income from the only one source: ads.

Only God knows the future.

Other issue:
Spam-Prevention Method
BugJet continues to combat spammer. We apply anti-spam policy in this site. Recently we add one method to camouflage e-mail address displayed. If an email address showed in BugJet pages, it will displayed like this:
- name at site dot com
- but the code is encrypted with Java Script, so you still able to click the link. Don't believe it? go to your browser menu, click View > Source. You'll see the HTML code of this page and notice that e-mail address displayed above has been encrypted.

Either above method will prevent spam robots crawling BugJet site to steal email address for spamming activities. Rest assured, all e-mail address displayed and/or stored in BugJet database stay safe from other parties.
